From here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLvJ04vXjGs Specifically the part with the NVIDIA guy, where they're showing the particle effects
Ideas: 1. I would recommend having blaster weaponry create some particles on impact that stay for a second and spread out on the suit. Especially stuff like the plasma cannon, that would leave a small green cloud that could be manipulated by objects inside of it :3
2. Would also suggest vehicles leaving thin smoke trails that, again, are simulated like in the video, and stay for around a second.
3. Would recommend replacing the inertia dampener effects with blue particle effects that last for half a second and generate from the middle of your arms, making the effect look much more realistic. At the end of the drop when you fall, a final blue cloud should spread out from the impact zone.
4. A cool touch would be that when you or someone else steps on a dusty surface, some small amount of particle effects would generate near the feat and would last for half a second. Same for ground vehicles.
5. Forge gun particle effects - Just use your imagination, that charge up effect could be waaay cooler with the particle effects.
6. Rail Weaponry spinning coil thing - The magsec in particular has one at the end of the gun. Make it release small amounts of blue particles.
7. Blaster Weaponry cyclotron - Make it release small amounts of green particles
That's all for my ideas.

Maken Tosch wrote:I could definitely see the particle effects playing a key role in helping ninja knifers sneak through many areas even without the cloak. But that will depend on whether or not the particle effects are a feature that can be disabled client-side. It might be like in BF4.
They use lighting and particle effects extensively for gameplay, so you can't tone it down even in the PC version.
